"U" Shaped Burdick Group Desk
This is the great thing about the Burdick Group by Herman Miller - versatility. Here three beams are connected by special brackets to create a U shaped workstation. File cabinets may be hung from anywhere along the beams, and each Burdick Group element can be attached at virtually any point (like the file divider). The user can have a U shape, L shape, or a straight-line desk. You can create standalone tables with enough bases. Only extremely high cost prevented the Burdick Group from being a huge commercial success in my opinion. Even now well-used examples are far more expensive than conventional desk sets.
